Roses Gap Camp 2025

On Monday, 8th December, our 2026 Year 9 cohort departed for the annual Roses Gap Camp in the Grampians. Set within the stunning Grampians National Park in Victoria, the camp provided students with a memorable experience that blended outdoor adventure, learning and teamwork.

The camp program offered students numerous opportunities to challenge themselves through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities. From rock climbing and low ropes courses to collaborative raft-building, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones while developing resilience, persistence, teamwork and conflict-resolution skills. Across the week, students participated in an action-packed schedule that included abseiling, canoeing, the pamper pole, hiking and rock climbing. Evening activities such as initiative games, trivia and a night walk further strengthened connections and engagement.

The Roses Gap Camp also provided valuable opportunities for students and staff to build strong relationships beyond the classroom. Students developed positive connections with their mentor teachers and peers within the Learning for Life Program. This camp experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression, creating many positive memories of their time away. We sincerely thank all staff members who supported and attended the camp, helping to make it such a successful experience for everyone involved.

Snowy River School for Student Leadership Camp

Congratulations to Thane, Amitta, Jordan, Ella, Kira and Lexi from Year 9 who have represented the College with pride over the past 9 weeks at School for Student Leadership, Snowy River. They have been challenged, stepped out of their comfort zones, developed life long friendships, gained vital life and leadership skills, engaged with the outdoors in many outdoor education activities, reflected on who they are as people and planned a community project to be implemented next year. They spent time developing an engaging presentation of their project that was performed to representatives from each school and other special guests. Their project aims to shine a light on mental health in young people and fundraise for a local organisation. It has been great to hear of their adventures and successes over the Term and I know they are excited to get back to school and continue to work on their project plans.
