Performing Arts in 2025

It never ceases to amaze me just how alive the Performing Arts department is. There is always something happening in the dance studio, the blackbox theatre or the band room. Lunchtimes are filled with the vibrant sounds of rehearsals, practice sessions and auditions — a constant reminder of the creativity and passion our students bring to school each day.

This year has been no exception. Bringing our department together for the 2025 production was nothing short of magical. From our brilliant band and dynamic dancers to our talented actors and the dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes, every individual contributed to something truly extraordinary.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a spectacular triumph ana joyful celebration of imagination, teamwork and talent that lit up the stage and delighted performers and audiences alike.

Year 8 Concert Band

This year has been an incredible journey for our Year 8 Concert Band. From the very first rehearsal to our final performance, the ensemble has grown not only in musical skill, but also in confidence, teamwork and creativity.

Our rehearsals were filled with energy - sometimes challenging music, often inspiring and always rewarding. Students pushed themselves to develop new techniques, refine their sound and bring real expression to their playing. Along the way, we saw remarkable musical growth, with each member contributing their unique talent to lift the whole band.

On stage, our students shone. Their performances showcased not just musical ability, but the creativity, discipline and teamwork that have developed throughout the year. Every concert was a reminder of how far they’ve come and how exciting their musical futures are.

A very special thank-you goes to our Year 8 Band Leaders, David O and Aiden J. Their commitment, encouragement and leadership have been a guiding force for the ensemble. They supported their peers, modelled dedication and helped create the positive, fun environment that made this year so memorable.

Most importantly, the Year 8 Concert Band created an environment where students could explore music with passion and joy. It has been a year filled with fun, learning and unforgettable moments - a wonderful celebration of what young musicians can achieve together.

Thank you for such a fun and musical year.
