| In this new important technology unit students will learn and use Scientific Data and CRITICAL THINKING to explain and evaluate Learning about elements on the Periodic Table and learn about Rare Earth Elements (Australia has an abundance of), which are used in Smart Phones, Computers, Artificial Intelligence, Medicine, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Electric Cars, Aerospace, Experiments involving splitting of the atom leading to Einstein’s famous equation E= mc2. Persistence with tasks, meeting deadlines, asking questions to gain a better and deeper understanding, and working in a collaborative manner with their fellow classmates will help girls and boys to develop open-mindedness to the world around them and build their scientific skills. |

The unit for first term commences week beginning Monday, 9th February 2026.
The unit will run for 8 weeks commencing: Mon 9th Feb, 16th Feb, 23rd Feb, 2nd Mar, 9th Mar, 16th Mar, 23rd Mar and 30th Mar.
