Thank You to Our Parent Community

A successful school community is a partnership between home and school, where parents support of their children, the staff and the broader school community.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a highly engaged and supportive parent community.

Our parents are active members of School Council, School Council Committees and Parents’ Association. All of these committees are crucial to the good governance, friend raising, fundraising, improvement and development of our wonderful school.  In 2025 these committees have been involved in the running of our school events (including Mothers’ Day Lunch, Fathers’ Day Dinner, Golf Day, 70s Dance, Colour Run, Twilight Picnic, etc), planned and implemented improvements to our school grounds, updated policies and conducted forums.

The fundraising by the Parents’ Association and School Council have enabled us to replace worn carpets, update our adventure playground, install important security fencing, develop our new Performing Arts room and make improvements to our gardens – all of which have a huge impact on the safety of our environment, development of our students (academic, physical and social) and general ‘feel’ of the school.

In addition to these more formal committees, parents have also assisted staff to run several sports, camps and excursions throughout the year – none of these events would have been possible without the support of our parents.  Parents also supported the Year 6 Market Place stalls and the Year 5 Day of the Diggings stalls – again this support was important to the success of these events.

We have parents who volunteer as Class Reps for the year, assisting with communication and supporting the teacher with organisation; they also improve the connectedness of our parent community by organising social events.

We also thank the parents who attended the many classroom ‘show Case’ events, where the students were able to share their learning with their parents, and other activities where you were invited into the classroom – the children love engaging with their parents at school. This also included the amazing audience that attended our first whole school concert.

I know there are so many other ways our parents have contributed this year.  We thank you all so much and are looking forward to another great year in 2026!
