Family and Faith Matters

"Coffee Connect" happens every second Thursday of the month at Moore Cafe in West Lindfield. Come along to our next one on Thursday December 11th. We simply meet and have coffee and always have a good time!

SAVE THE DATE: Friday, 12th December Sandwich Making for Vinnies Van Services at 8 am in the school Hall. Come with your child for half an hour and do some outreach for the homeless of Sydney whom St Vincent de Paul look after. P & F fund the fillings!

Thanks P & F.

Learning to care for those on the margins is living out our faith in an authentic way.

                       Stir It Up Sunday

Thank you to Judy Gill (Austin Packwood's Grandmother) for helping us to "stir up" all the yummy ingredients to make Christmas Puddings last Sunday for the First Sunday in Advent as we wait for the coming of Christ.  We had 25 families attend and it was a joyous morning of community and preparing for Christmas -with love being the essential ingredient! The candle for the first week on the Advent wreath represents HOPE. How appropriate as we wait in hope not only for Jesus but for the beautiful steamed puddings to come out properly!

It may also be a good time to ask ourselves "who do we bring hope to in our lives by our actions and words?" Perhaps a good family dinner conversation starter?!

Vinnie's Hampers

Congratulations to our students in Years 5 and 6 (and their teachers, Mrs Overton & Mr Clarke) for their brilliant efforts in bringing Christmas cheer to our brothers and sisters in need at this special time of the year.

The students packed 25 hampers, which were filled to the brim with food and the hampers were collected yesterday by a representative of the St Vincent de Paul Society. The hampers will be delivered in time for Christmas Day.

Thank you to everyone who contributed items. The joy of giving is the true meaning of Christmas. Your generosity demonstrates the kingdom of God is alive here at Holy Family.

May God bless you!

Kindest regards

Liana Stella
