Year 5/6 Camp - Araluen Adventure
From Monday to Wednesday, our Grade 5 and 6 students had the exciting opportunity to stay at Araluen in Anglesea. It was a camp filled with adventure, laughter, personal growth, and plenty of unforgettable memories.
Throughout their stay, students took part in a range of exciting activities including boogie boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, archery, and a surprisingly tricky low ropes course. With courage and enthusiasm, the children pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, showing resilience and a positive attitude as they embraced each new challenge.
In addition to the action-packed days, the fun continued into the evenings with night activities such as the ever-popular St Pat’s Got Talent competition and a lively trivia night. There was also time for the children to relax, enjoy their free time, and bond with their peers in a supportive and fun environment.
Beyond the physical activities, the camp experience offered students an opportunity to build independence, develop teamwork and communication skills, and strengthen friendships. Being away from home encouraged them to take responsibility for themselves, support each other, and step into new roles with confidence and pride.
We were incredibly well looked after by our wonderful hosts at Araluen, and the students certainly appreciated the delicious meals—especially the hearty cooked breakfasts that kept everyone fueled for the big days ahead!
A huge thank you goes out to the dedicated staff who attended camp. Their support, energy, and enthusiasm—along with their warm coats!—helped make this a fantastic and meaningful experience for all involved.
We’re so proud of the way our students represented St Pat’s and embraced the adventure. The memories made and the growth achieved on camp will stay with them for years to come.
Regional Soccer Competition
Congratulations Zac and Ethan in Year 6! The boys will be representing Ballarat in the Country Championships outdoor soccer competition in Albury over the Kings Birthday Weekend. Both of the boys had to go through weeks of trials to be selected in the squad, we wish them the best of luck!
St Patrick's 5/6 Interschool Soccer Competition
St Patrick’s Year 5/6 students represented the school at the recent Interschool Soccer Day, fielding three teams who competed with great enthusiasm and skill throughout the event.
All teams demonstrated fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship on the day and represented the school well. A special congratulations goes to Team A, who competed in the top division and went undefeated all day. Their hard work and determination paid off as they took home the championship trophy, winning the grand final.
All students should be incredibly proud of their efforts and their positive attitude for the day. Well done, everyone!
