Storytime

Every Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:00, the school library transforms into a space filled with laughter, songs, and stories—all thanks to teacher Claire Fletcher and her wonderful Storytime sessions for babies and toddlers.

It has been a joy to watch Claire share her passion for literacy and early childhood development. With a calm and engaging presence, she creates a welcoming environment for our youngest learners and their families, helping to foster a lifelong love of books from the very beginning.

Research consistently highlights the importance of reading aloud to young children. As literacy expert Mem Fox reminds us, “The fire of literacy is created by the emotional sparks between a child, a book, and the person reading.” These sessions do exactly that—build connections, spark curiosity, and support early language development in a meaningful and joyful way.
