Thank you for the warm welcome into Performing Arts. This week our students have been exploring the exciting world of rhythm! Through fun and interactive activities, they’ve been learning how rhythm forms the foundation of music and movement.
One of the highlights has been using the syllables in their own names to create unique rhythmic patterns. Students practiced clapping, tapping, and vocalizing these rhythms, building confidence in keeping a steady beat while expressing their individuality.
Feel free to ask your child to show you the rhythm in their name or try it with the names of your family members! Mix up the order and see how they can create a whole new rhythm just by changing the sequence. It's a fun and musical way to bring Performing Arts into your home!
It’s been a joyful and energetic week, full of sound, movement, and creativity, as students begin to understand that rhythm is not just something you hear, but something you feel and create!
Regards,
Kate
