Delacombe Primary School – Big Buddies Excursion to ACU

On Wednesday the 14th of May, students from Delacombe Primary School, as part of the Big Buddy program with Australian Catholic College, visited the Australian Catholic University (ACU) campus. Student were warmly welcomed by their Big Buddy, with the afternoon beginning with a shared lunch, allowing students and their buddies to connect, relax and enjoy a bite to eat. Students then enjoyed a guided tour of the ACU facilities, sparking curiosity and excitement among the students.

The highlight of the day was a series of hands-on learning activities designed to encourage teamwork and engagement, led by the big buddy. The excursion concluded with a whole-group game of Duck Duck Goose, which proved to be a favourite among all the students. It was a wonderful experience that fostered meaningful connections between the students and their Big Buddies, leaving everyone with smiles and great memories.
