On the 1st of March 2024, St Mary's School Mooroopna had their school cross country. All the kids raced at the Mooroopna Oval and all had a blast!

A highlight was getting to cheer on fellow runners.

A big thank you to Mr Preston for organising everything and to all the parents and carers for coming to support everybody.

New - 5/6 Enquiry

What do you notice? What do you wonder?

This was the question posed to some of the 5/6 students recently, when they were given a chart of numbers!

This inquiry based task had them thinking, engaging in awesome conversations and coming to some wonderful conclusions about multiples, factors and prime numbers!

New - Crazy Hair Day

Check out some of the Crazy Hair Day photos from our recnt Caristas fundraiser. We loved the creativity of the hairstyles!

So many gold coins donated to support Caritas! We raised $348, which is enough to build a toilet for a school overseas!

Well done everyone, You rock!

If you forgot to send a coin on the day, bring one to pop into the classroom Project Compassion box!

New - Yabbying with Mr Crowe

The Grade 6’s on the Sustainability Team enjoyed an afternoon of yabbying with Mr Crowe. The students walked down to the John Gray Oval reserve and were greeted with a feast of sausages in bread and fresh fruit.

Mr Crowe showed us the ropes to yabbying and, after some testing of patience, we had a successful afternoon! About 12 yabbies were caught and then returned to the lake.
