Mr Butts' Announcements
Some of our Gr 5/6's on our Crazy Hair Day!
At St Mary's we are wonderful at many things, unfortunately as a school, attendance is not as high as it should be. I urge all families to make attendance a priority when planning the week ahead. Obviously all children will miss some days due to illness and the odd holiday. This is why it is so important to be at school everyday possible, not leaving early and getting to school on time. Our aim is to improve our attendance rate overall and we are putting many strategies to support students and families.
Our Cross Country event took place last Friday at the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve and was a great success. Well done to all the students who took part, especially our winners who did a great job on such a warm morning. A big thank you to Mr Preston for organising such a fun day!
St Mary's is currently advertising for Learning Support Officers (Teacher's Aides). Feel free to give me a call if you have any queries. See below for application details.
Please note that teachers are on duty from 8am to supervise students who catch an early bus or those whose parents/carers with work related commitments. All other students are required to arrive at school after 8:30am. We rely on parents adhering to this rule so we can keep numbers minimal and continue to offer supervision.
If you currently don't have NBN connection, you may be eligible for free internet for 2 years. This is a government initiative and you can check your eligibility by calling 1800 954 610 or using the QR code below:
