Year 9 Geography - Edendale Farm Excursion

On Thursday 29 February our Year 9 Geography students visited Edendale Farm in Eltham as part of their 'Biomes and sustainable food production' unit.  They saw farmed species that have been introduced into Australia and examined their impact on the environment, they learnt about the importance of worms in the nutrient cycle process, considered alternative sources of protein (crickets!) to the traditional beef and chicken and examined the distance travelled of a range of food.
