Employee Selection

  • A cross-functional team of nine employees representing the diverse brands and skills across The Toro Company will be chosen for this opportunity
  • A self-nomination process will be open to all employees globally
  • We are looking for employees who are good listeners, open to different cultures and work well in a team environment
  • Content knowledge is NOT required to participate
  • Supervisor must approve employee participation during the designated timeframe

Employee Financial Participation

  • Contribute up to a maximum of $1000 toward the cost of an economy class plane ticket for travel to and from Zambia
  • Apply three vacation days toward the time away from the office. Vacation time will be allocated in accordance with your shift/location processes

The Toro Company and The Toro Company Foundation Support

  • All expenses while in Zambia will be supported by a grant from The Toro Company Foundation
  • The balance of the economy class plane ticket cost over $1000 will be paid by The Toro Company
