This session will be focused on all aspects of health and how this impacts performance.  February is poignant timing given people have just set goals and ‘new year’s resolutions’, that after 1 month might already be feeling tiresome or challenging. Darren is a renowned performance coach, working with athletes and businesspeople across the world to improve their outcomes. In this session, our audience can expect expert knowledge coupled with tips and tricks to improve their health and wellbeing and ultimately their performance at work. 

 

Who is Darren Burgess?

 

Darren Burgess is a world-renowned high-performance specialist who currently serves as High Performance Manager at Adelaide Football Club. Prior to joining the Crows in 2022, ‘Burgo’ played an important role in Melbourne’s Premiership success of 2021 where he was the club’s High-Performance Manager while also enjoying two separate stints at Port Adelaide. His expert credentials extend beyond Australia’s game having previously spent time in key high-performance roles at English football giants Arsenal and Liverpool, respectively. Additionally, Burgess has spent time working with the Australian National Men’s Football (Soccer) Team, a stint coinciding with the Socceroo’s participation at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. A PhD holder in Sport Science and Technology,  specialising in high performance, leadership, and sporting excellence.
