School Leadership

March 2024

Term One is rushing by for all our students. All student leaders were recognised at our Leadership Assembly in week 3. It was fantastic to see such a great variety of students on stage.

We held our first SRC meeting for the year on 15th February. During that meeting we asked for feedback about what is working well and what needs to change in the school and started planning for our major house fundraising campaigns. This year each house will be allocated one term to take responsibility for raising awareness and support for a charity. Our casual clothes days will also be linked to these events. SRC members are currently consulting with students about possible causes and we will make our final decisions next week.

Camryn spoke with all our Year 7 students this week about our new Year 7 Representative roles and we will be announcing the successful candidates early next week in time for our next SRC meeting on Thursday 7th March at lunchtime. We are excited to have real representation from our newest students. This week we also placed some SRC suggestion boxes in the library and General Office and we encourage all students who have any concerns or ideas for SRC to speak with one of us or place a note in the suggestion boxes.

We would also like to congratulate Teiva Levy for being selected to for the Whitehorse Youth Council, April Stacey for being selected as part of the Whitehorse Youth Events Team. As well as Leroy, Teiva and Angus for continuing as our student representatives on school council.

Meanwhile, we wish to thank the house captains who did a fantastic job supporting the staff and encouraging students for our annual Swimming Carnival.
