Division Swimming

March 2024

The 2024 Mullauna Division Swim team, consisting of 37 students, today competed against five other schools from the Mullum division, where some impressive & inspirational feats of athleticism & endurance were witnessed.

It was fantastic to see such camaraderie & encouragement amongst the students throughout the day, & several Mullauna parents were also present to cheer from the sidelines.

Mr. Ruff was also on hand in the morning to distribute some ribbons to their worthy recipients, which was greatly appreciated.

Notable achievements & results included:

•              Delara (year 7), who nearly didn’t have enough hands to carry all of her ribbons, & whom will progress through to Regional Swimming after winning the 100m breaststroke & 100m freestyle.

•              Michael (year 8), whose early morning swim training sessions have paid dividends, whom will also progress to Regional Swimming after winning the gruelling 4x50m Individual Medley relay. Michael also took out the U14 age group champion, which is a sensational achievement given the quality of swimmers from all schools in attendance.

  • The U16 Girls 4x50m freestyle relay team (consisting of Bianca, Caitlin, Lucy &      Scarlett) winning their event.
  • The U14 Girls 4x50m freestyle relay team (Talya, Dotti, Issy & Liv) finishing 3rd.
