PA Update

What a busy but great start to the year we have had at POPS! Thanks so much to everyone who has helped out with all of the Parent's Association events that have taken place so far this year.  Without you generously giving up your time, all of the fun events for the children cannot happen.  Fundraising is an important part of what the PA does and thanks to the help of others and generous donations from POPS families and the community, we have had a great first term of fundraising.  

 

Here are some of the fundraising activities that have taken place so far this year:

Welcome back evening: $124

Cupcake Stall: $367

Pancake Day: $316

Second hand uniform shop: $269

Easter Raffle: approx $1800

Mother's Day Stall:  (money raised from the stall provides the funds to run the Mother's Day breakfast) 

 

 

The money raised from events like these allows the PA to fund things such as the Young Leader's Conference which all of our year 6 students get the opportunity to go to.  This is a much loved event and a contribution that the PA is really honoured to make each year. Much to the excitement of many of the children, we have just funded the replacement of the soccer nets.  This is something that the children had requested via their SRC reps so it is really exciting for them to see it come to fruition.  Some of the things that future fundraising activities will help to fund are new student wellbeing spaces, new Poppy Bears and the purchase of inclusive play spaces in the yard to name just a few.  

 

Upcoming events this term:

Monday May 26 -  Year 5 AOM and Cupcake Stall (grade 4 to provide cupcakes)

Monday June 23 - Year 4 AOM and Cupcake Stall (Grade 6 to provide cupcakes)

 

Thanks again to all of those who help out with the running of PA events - from our class reps to those who sign up to help in any way they can.  It is greatly appreciated.
