Thank you to all the parents and families who were able to come and visit our classrooms during our Open Afternoon on Thursday, we had such a  great time sharing our Wominjeka Circle and Wellbeing activity with you (please see the wonderful photos below)! 

 

This week in the Independence Centre, students have shown a love of learning when exploring different types of measurement in Maths including, mass, capacity and length. In English we have begun looking at our TEEL paragraph structure for our persuasive writing unit, and students have demonstrated creativity coming up with pros and cons for different arguments.

 

Also, a huge congratulations to those students who ran in our District Cross Country last Friday. We are so proud of the students who competed on the day and showed great sportspersonship to other schools as well!

3/4R - Clara M - For challenging yourself to construct TEEL paragraphs, ensuring you include all key elements. Keep up the fantastic work!

 

3/4W - Max S - For demonstrating a growth mindset and curiosity through our Measurement unit in Maths this week! You estimated the length, mass and capacity of different items, measured it using a scaled instrument and compared the difference. Amazing effort!

 

3/4J - Rebekah L - For demonstrating outstanding teamwork and curiosity while collaborating with your group to explore and measure the capacity of various containers in Maths. Excellent effort, Rebekah – well done!
