Leadership Centre

Highlight
Salamat siang,
We’ve kicked off the week with a bang! The 5/6 Leadership Centre headed into the city for an exciting excursion to Parliament House and the State Library of Victoria.
Students had the opportunity to tour Parliament, sit in the Red Chamber, and learn all about the three levels of government, the different roles within Parliament, and some fascinating behind-the-scenes facts.
Did you know that the carpet colours in Parliament have meaning, and only members of the monarchy can enter rooms with a red carpet?
Back at school, our literacy workshops have had our brains buzzing! We've been diving into what makes a sentence truly sing. From similes to personification, hyperbole to metaphors, students have been experimenting with figurative language to make their writing more engaging and powerful.
Honestly, our brains are so full of ideas and knowledge that they might explode (figuratively, of course)!
Wishing you a fantastic week ahead,
The Leadership Centre
