OSHCLUB News

We’re almost at the middle of the term with a week full of fun, learning, and creativity!

Our Brain Booster activities had everyone thinking, experimenting, and getting hands-on as we made playdough and explored the science behind Oobleck; messy, sensory fun that sparked plenty of curiosity. In the kitchen, our young chefs have been busy creating delicious and healthy treats, including cinnamon muffins, muesli bars, and refreshing homemade juice. These cooking sessions are always a favourite and a great way to learn practical life skills. Children also got creative with block building and marble runs, using their imagination and problem-solving skills to design and construct amazing creations. To keep our bodies active, we enjoyed plenty of outdoor time with footy, cricket, jump rope, and a variety of group games that encouraged teamwork, movement, and lots of laughs.

It’s been a fantastic week so far, and we’re looking forward to even more fun and learning in the weeks ahead!

Staffing Update

Our Coordinator, Sophie, is off on a 4-week university placement at Whitehorse Primary School. We wish her all the best as she continues to grow her skills and experience in her final year of University! During this time, Leyla, our wonderful permanent educator, is stepping up into the Coordinator role. Leyla brings a wealth of knowledge, care, and creativity to the program, and we know the service is in great hands.

She will be supported by our friendly and familiar casual team:

  • Selena will be joining us in the mornings, and
  • Lekky will be with us in the afternoons.

Thank you for your continued support, and please feel free to reach out to Leyla during this period with any questions or feedback.

If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
