OSHC - Waru Kids
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As you are aware, we have recently introduced an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service “Waru Kids” in response to requests from parents through P&C meetings. With limited spaces available in other local services, we believed this option could help families looking for additional care for their children.
With the recent addition of this on-site care option before school, after school, and during holidays, we’d like to remind families that school staff commence their duties from 8:30am, in accordance with the Department of Education State School Teachers’ Certified Agreement 2022 and the Department of Education Teacher Aides’ Certified Agreement 2022 and are not rostered for duty before this time.
Families who need to drop students off before 8:30am may wish to consider using the OSHC service now available on our school grounds. A breakdown of the fee structure is included on the next page. With the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), some families may find the cost is significantly reduced—or in some cases, free.

Important Information for Families:
- CCS (Child Care Subsidy) percentage is determined by Centrelink based on your income and activity level.
- Costs shown above are estimates after CCS is applied.
- You must have your CCS assessment completed and active to receive discounted fees.
- If your CCS changes during the year, your session fees will adjust automatically.
