Student Celebrations

Spanish
In Spanish, our Prep students had a great time creating a collaborative poster about día (day) and noche (night). They worked together to brainstorm routines, activities, and animals that represent each part of the day. Using their ideas, they wrote the Spanish words and brought them to life with colourful drawings. The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be creative and collaborate with their classmates.

District Cross Country Trials
On May 7th, twenty-three students from Wembley Primary School represented our school at the Westgate District Cross Country Trials held at Yarraville Gardens. Competing in their respective age and gender groups, students braved torrential rain and a slippery course across both the 2km and 3km events.
A big thank you to the parents who supported the day, and to Daniel Anglin for transporting students to and from the event.
Although Hudson Kowal, who had qualified to compete, sustained an injury the day before the race, he demonstrated admirable resilience by attending and cheering on his peers.
The final list of students progressing to the Divisional Championships, scheduled for May 28th, will be announced by the end of next week. Congratulations to all participants—we are incredibly proud of you!
