F/1/2 CLASSROOM

Welcome Back to Term Two!
Welcome back, everyone! It's hard to believe how quickly time is flying — our Foundation students are already approaching their 50th day of school! We’re excited to share that we will be celebrating once they reach the 100-day milestone, so stay tuned for more details.
This term in our Inquiry unit, students are diving into Biological Science. We’ve started by exploring the differences between living and non-living things, learning how each is defined and identified. Now, we are beginning to look more closely at how living things use and adapt to their environments in order to survive. The students are thoroughly enjoying this fascinating unit of work!
In Religion, we’ve been learning about the different types of celebrations in children’s lives — from birthdays to cultural traditions. We are celebrating the diversity in our community by discussing how celebrations can vary across families and countries. This learning is helping us prepare to understand the significance of Pentecost.
Across all areas — especially Maths and Literacy — our Foundation, Year 1, and Year 2 students continue to engage enthusiastically and meet the challenges of each learning task with great perseverance and positivity.
A small reminder about homework: Students are only expected to complete small amounts across the week. There’s no need to complete it all in one night. And if it doesn’t get done every time, that’s okay — it’s optional and meant to support, not stress.
Looking forward to a wonderful term ahead!
