The Boîte Schools Chorus

Come and join our Boîte choir! If you love singing with friends, this is for you.

Since 2004 the Boîte Schools Chorus has involved over 9000 students from across Victoria in 45 mass concerts. The Boîte Schools Chorus project invites students into a new world through song, builds confidence, broadens horizons and develops valuable performance and interpersonal skills.⁠⁠ Each year the chorus focuses on a different cultural theme.⁠ This year we will be singing songs from Timor-Leste.

Most rehearsals will be held at school, and Boîte’s incredible artists and choir leaders will support the us with rehearsals along the way. Then, students across the state join together in a massed choir spectacular of 300 + students on stage at The Melbourne Town Hall, on August 12th. 

Rehearsals start next Wednesday at 11am (first recess) in Katherine’s classroom. 

Here the key dates:

- Weekly Rehearsals at school on Wednesdays during first recess

- Friday 23rd May Zoom rehearsal 2 pm – 3 pm (at school)

- Saturday 26th of July at Trinity Catholic Primary School in Richmond, 1 pm - 2:30 pm.

- Tuesday 12th of August is the Big Performance at the Melbourne Town Hall at 7pm.

The cost is $60 per student. This covers the student's T-shirt, song book, performance venue, and rehearsals.
