On behalf of the Pastoral Care Coordinators and myself, we would like to warmly welcome you back to Term 2. We hope that your daughter(s) are looking forward to exciting events and scope for learning new material in their classes.
Learning, and the partnership at home
A crucial aspect of student success is the partnership between home and school. We strongly encourage parents to actively engage in their child's learning journey. This can involve simple yet effective strategies like regularly checking their Compass and Canvas page as an observer, allowing you to stay informed about assignments, deadlines, and learning materials. Helping your daughter to prepare a term planner, with all assessment deadlines, is also an important way to provide oversight of upcoming submission dates to avoid students becoming overwhelmed.
Additionally, checking and signing your daughter’s diary each week provides a valuable opportunity for communication and ensures you're aware of their daily activities and any important school notices. By working together, we can create a supportive and collaborative learning environment that empowers our students to thrive.

Uniform
All Pastoral Care Coordinators emailed regarding uniform last term. The Assistant Principal also mentioned the uniform in her report. Some reminders, now we are in the Winter Uniform:
Make-up, false eyelashes and nail polish is not part of the uniform. Hair should also be of a natural colour.
Jewellery is limited to 1 set of small earrings in the lower earlobe, a religious icon necklace, and a watch.
Students should remember that they are ambassadors for themselves and for Brigidine College in the community and a compulsory uniform is a way to unite everyone together in a way we can be proudly Brigidine.
Consequences
Not adhering to the uniform requirements will incur a demerit (3 demerits leads to an after-school detention). Continued uniform breaches will result in a parent/guardian being called to collect their daughter to support the school’s culture and standards.
