Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.
May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.
Happy Campers!
Happy campers all round this week. I had the delightful opportunity to visit our Year 5 students and staff at Roses Gap yesterday. The sun was shining and the students were literally flying through the air on the Giant Swing and Zipline, and over the top as they abseiled down the mountain. An amazing experience for all involved.
This morning our Year 3 campers headed off to enjoy some camping time at Cave Hill Creek - they have arriaved safely and are very excited about their adventures. Mr Bartok joined then today for a Bushwalk and Miss Bigmore is spending the day with them tomorrow.
PFA
A huge 'shout out' to our tiny, yet tireless, Parents & Friends Association for the provision of the Mother's Day Stall this week. Much planning and preparation goes into providing this opportunity for our students to select and purchase a quality gift, or gifts, for loved ones to celebrate Mother's Day. On behalf of our school community, THANK YOU!
Assembly
We welcome all of our families and friends to our assembly this Friday at 2:30 pm. See you there!
Happy Mother's Day
To all of the significant women in the lives of our students and staff, we wish each and every one of you a day filled with love, gratitude and recognition for all of the support, love and care that you give each and every day. Enjoy your special day.
Enjoy the rest of the week,
Kylie Nissen
