Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,
Last Saturday some of our Year 6 students received Confirmation at St Patrick's Cathedral alongside their peers from St Joachim's and St Joseph's, Chelsea in a blessed occasion lead by the Bishop for the East, Fr Thinh Xuan Nguyen, and Fr Martin. Our students who receieved Confirmation are Lola, Amelia, Sebastian, Paige, Harry, Grace, Macey, Jacob and James and may God Bless them.
On Monday morning we raised awareness and some donations to support Indigenous Literacy through a walk to school activity called "Together We Walk". I thank Mrs Ward for her organisation with this and for all the families that joined in with celebrating this.
Tomorrow our Foundation students celebrate "100 Days of School". That time has certainly flown. We also have the Year 1/2 students leading a Mass dedicated to Australia's only Saint- Mary MacKillop which is called the Feast Day for St Mary of the Cross. Our senior students commence their Winter Sport Program against Aldercourt PS away and we wish them every success with this and hope they have a great time.
On Saturday 9 August some of our Year 4 students will commence their celebrations of their First Eucharist over the next month at Parish Masses. We pray for and congratulate Austin, Audrey, Patrick, Darcy, Haven M, Ben, Joseph, Will and Nathan with this.
Next week our Year 3/4 classes are off to the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens on Wednesday as part of their studies. On Friday we will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption and then our senior students will play against Kananook PS with their Winter Sport Program.
Thanks again for a wonderful week.
God Bless
Rod Shaw
