HOME INQUIRY:

Reading: Aim for 20 minutes minimum reading per night. We encourage students to read aloud, either to themselves or a parent.  Don’t forget to record your book for the Premier’s Reading Challenge.

Mathematics: Students are to work on the recall of any facts that they are not automatic in recalling.  You may like to create flash cards or skip count aloud with your child to help support their learning with this.

Remembering we are aiming to have learnt all our multiplication facts up to x12 by the end of the year. If your child can recall all of them, they can switch over to their division facts.

Inquiry: Talk with your child about how they see themselves as a leader. This discussion could include how they display communication skills, research skills, thinking skills, social skills and social skills.

EXHIBITION: Students will complete their second journal this week. It is due to be uploaded in Toddle by 5pm Sunday. Students are creating a display to share their leadership with the Year 5s. Students, please share with people at home, the information you will be presenting.

EXHIBITION: The Parent Information Session is available in Toddle announcements. Please ensure that you contact Jayne if you have any queries or concerns. The Year 6s have spent this week thinking about their leadership roles in the school. They have recorded What, where, when, who, why and how related to their role. Students considered the blockers/issues and opportunities within their roles and the leadership qualities that have assisted them in their roles. This work is preparation for them to create a mini exhibition about their leadership roles. The Year 5s will view this display next Wednesday, so they can be better informed as they apply for 2026 leadership positions.
