NAIDOC Week

A heartfelt thank you to all our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and staff for leading such a powerful and inspiring assembly. We were honoured to welcome Karen Brown OAM, J J Cahill Memorial High School's first Aboriginal student and proud alumna from the 1960s, as our special guest speaker.

Our students shone as they shared their stories, performed, and taught us about the significance of recognising and celebrating the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Their respectful, brave, and courageous voices reminded us of the strength and inspiration they bring to our school community.

Thank you also to the families, carers, and community members who joined us in the afternoon to celebrate this meaningful day.

Congratulations to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student leaders – we are so proud of you!
