We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our College community back to Term 3. We hope everyone had a lovely break and now we are gearing up for some warmer weather. The school is a little quieter this week with many of our Year 10 students hitting the Slopes with great skiing conditions and another group seeking adrenaline at the theme parks. We look forward to hearing of their adventures on their return.
Year 10 into VCE Information Night
Monday 4th August, all Year 10 students and their families are invited to our Year 10 into VCE information night commencing at 6.30pm. This night is important as we introduce the pathways available for the final two years of formal education. Students should bring their subject selection books.
Subject Selection Days
In Weeks 3 and 4 of this term we have our subject selection days - important information has gone home about these days and how to book - this is compulsory for all students in Years 7-11.
Elevate Ace Your Exams
On Wednesday 6th August, whilst there are no formal Year 12 classes, all scored students will need to attend an ace your exams session. We have external presenters attending our college to start the exam preparation period. There are four sessions running, giving students a choice to select the timeslot that best suits their day. Sign up is in the study centre and the actual presentation will be held in the school auditorium.
Koorie Pathways Expo
On Thursday August 7th, our Koorie students are invited to a pathways expo at Maydale Pavillion - information has gone home to students about this via SEQTA and also hard copy permission forms. If students are wishing to attend, students need to return their permission forms to the front office at the beginning of Week 3.
Headspace
This week, members of our local headspace facility presented to our Student Engagement and Wellbeing Team the incredible programs and support that they offer here in Horsham. We are so lucky to have this incredible facility in Horsham and we encourage families to jump on to their website and sign up to their newsletter to be notified of what is being planned for our young people and the programs that are offered.
Horsham College will run Subject Selection day for all students in Years 7, 8, 9, & 11 on Wednesday August 6th, 2025. All classes will be cancelled on that day, including Year 12 classes.
Year 10 students will attend a separate day on Wednesday August 13th, 2025. All other year levels will have classes as normal on this day.
