Inquiry - Term 3

This week our students have started our new Inquiry topic ‘Our Planet’. This unit focuses on biological and ecological sciences through examining plants and animals, adaptations and life cycles, through to natural disasters and how communities respond to these. We look forward to seeing the work our students produce throughout the term.

Book Week, an exciting time at school is fast approaching! The theme this year is Book an Adventure. On Monday, August 18th it is all happening.

We will have our Dress Up Parade . Come dressed as your favourite character and we will parade in the yard at 9am. Parents you are more than welcome to join us or even dress up too. Clap and cheer as we show off our imagination and creativity.

Our annual Cake and Art Show is also happening on this day. Children, if they choose to, can create a cake or art piece related to a book or character that they love. This is done at home by the children and brought to the Hall on Monday morning to be displayed for the school community and collected again Monday afternoon to be taken home and enjoyed. Please display your name and the name of the book or character you have created. This is always such a fun celebration of how the children can be so creative and independent.

Please reach out if you are unsure of anything that happens for Book Week, it's meant to be a fun way to celebrate our love of reading and that's how we see it here....no stress about costumes whatever goes as long as the children are having fun and getting involved.
