Principal's Page

Dear Parents and Friends,

This Sunday and next, many of our Year 3 students will receive Jesus for the first time in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. This sacred milestone marks a powerful encounter with Christ, as our students take a significant step forward in their faith journey and grow more deeply into the life of our Catholic community.

We pray that these celebrations serve as a meaningful reminder to us all of the beauty and importance of the Eucharist. May witnessing the joy and reverence of our students renew and inspire our own faith.

The Feast of the Assumption of Mary

On Friday 15 August, we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is one of the most important feast days in the Catholic Church, commemorating the belief that after her death, Mary was taken, body and soul, into heaven.

The Assumption is a beautiful testament to God's love for Mary. It reminds us of her unique role in salvation history and her place as the first and most perfect disciple of Jesus. This feast day also offers us a message of hope, reminding us that we, too, are called to share in the glory of eternal life with God.

To celebrate this special day, students in Year 4 will attend the Parish Mass at 9:00am this Friday. Parents and families are most welcome to join us.

How does my child receive a Principal's Award?

Class teachers nominate students for Blue Merit Awards which are presented at the weekly assembly.  When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students send them to the school office to be recorded and are then eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly. End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.  Please see the "School Handbook" for a full list of eligible awards.
