Principal's Report
As we step into the cooler months of the year, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the vibrant and busy few weeks we've experienced at Wyndham Vale Primary School. It’s been a period full of exciting events, focused learning, and strong community spirit.
With the shift to winter, I’d like to remind families of the importance of continuing to wear our school uniform with pride. Our uniform policy reflects our shared identity and values, and it’s wonderful to see students arriving each day in uniform, ready to learn and participate.
Over the past few weeks, students across various year levels have taken part in enriching learning experiences beyond the classroom. Year 4 students attended their much-anticipated camp at Lady Northcote, developing independence and team skills in a beautiful outdoor setting. Year 3 students explored Earth Ed, engaging in hands-on learning about geology and the natural world, while our Year 1 students enjoyed an exciting day discovering animals and their habitats at the Werribee Zoo.
Looking ahead, we have upcoming excursions for Foundation and Year 5 students. Please ensure payment and consent are provided via the Compass platform by the due date to enable your child’s participation in these valuable experiences. If you are choosing the School Savings Bonus as payment, please contact the office prior to the due date of the excursion to organise this.
In classrooms, student learning continues to thrive. It’s been heartening to observe the responsibility, focus and enthusiasm students are showing in their day-to-day learning. Our dedicated staff are currently working with students to complete assessments, which will inform the semester reports due to be released later this term.
We are pleased to share that the fencing project around the school has now been completed. Thank you to our families and broader community for your patience and understanding throughout these important works. The enhanced perimeter adds to the safety and security of our school environment.
A special acknowledgment goes to our canteen staff who recently coordinated a successful Pizza Week. Navigating the logistics of serving over 1300 hot pizzas to eager students is no small feat—and they did so with great care and enthusiasm. Well done to the team for creating such a joyful experience for our students!
CSEF(Camps, Sports, and Excursions Fund)- Applications Close Soon!
For families who may be eligible, please remember that CSEF (Camps, Sports, and Excursions Fund) applications must be submitted before the end of June. If you need assistance in completing the necessary paperwork, please contact the school office as soon as possible.
2025 School Voluntary Contributions- Open
A reminder also that 2025 School Voluntary Contributions remain open. These contributions play a vital role in ensuring our students have access to essential resources, including stationery, books, digital devices such as Chromebooks and iPads, and high-quality teaching and learning programs. Contributions can be made via the Compass App (look for the green highlighted section on the landing page) or in person at the school office. A heartfelt thank you to the families who have already contributed—your support
directly benefits your child’s learning and helps WVPS continue to thrive.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our WVPS community.
