CHPS Pride Day – Friday 20th June

We’re excited to be celebrating Pride Day at CHPS on Friday 20th June! This year’s theme is "Be You, Be Proud", encouraging students to embrace who they are and celebrate the uniqueness of others. On the day, students will take part lessons focused on inclusion, diversity, and being proud of what makes us all special. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reinforce the importance of kindness, respect, and community spirit at CHPS. Students are invited to wear a splash of colour to celebrate.

Winter wellbeing

As the months get colder and the days get shorter, winter is slowly setting in. It is important to focus on our wellbeing as the season changes and as we approach the mid way point of the school year. Term 2 will pass us by quickly and then term 3 is right around the corner. Winter can be a time when things slow down, and can be a big change to everyone’s schedules.

Winter wellbeing is the best way to shrug off the winter blues. Here are 3 self care tips to keep up wellbeing in the colder months.

1) When outside gets colder, stay warm and rug up with jackets, jumpers, scarf and beanies to stay cosy inside and outside.

2) Keep up with self care and take time out of your day to be mindful and stay grounded. Try meditation or eating a warm hearty meal.

3) If it is raining all day and you need something to do, try some fun crafts to keep your brains busy, or read that book that you have been meaning to get to.

When the weather permits, go outside to play, go on a walk or just have some time outside in nature.

Alternatively you could dedicate an indoor space to keep active indoors while it rains away outdoors.

Stay warm!
