Lunch Time Clubs
Gardening Club
Gardening Club is run by Brenda who also runs Hands-On Learning. She is Bittern Primary Schools gardening expert. Brenda runs this club to teach our students about plants and how to care for them.
During Gardening Club students plant seeds (they plant a variety of flowers and lettuces) in our gardens to make them look nice.
Gardening club does a lot with our school. They tidy up by doing weeding and mulching garden beds. She does sweeping with the students as well.
We are glad to have Brenda because she helps our school look nice and she is dedicated to her work and making Bittern Primary School the best it can be.

Library
Kay does Library Club every Tuesday at lunch time. In Library Club you can choose from a variety of books to read and if you like them you can borrow the book. When you borrow the book Kay or another student will scan the book under your name then return it when you are done reading it.
Kay changes her book displays regularly, recently she had the National Simultaneous Story time book titled The Truck Cat on display.
The Library is a wonderful space to spend your lunch time as there are different sections such as fiction books to non-fiction and there are chapter books. There are so many different categories suitable for all ages or grade levels.

Lego Club
During this term, Lego Club has been a bit quiet. The kids that have been coming in, have been making awesome things with the Lego like: cars and buildings. Also a few weeks ago, some of the leaders gave out stickers for interesting and spectacular work. Hopefully we can continue giving out stickers as a reward, alongside the Lego Club awards. We have been encouraging creative minds and interesting builds.
