Volleyball
A fun filled day at the opens volleyball knockout Gala day in Armidale on Friday 7 June. Both teams played valiantly against challenging opponents.
The girls had a convincing win against Weewaa and 2 close losses against ASC and Inverell High in their pool. These two teams went on to play in the final. All the girls played well and progressed throughout their games. It was certainly a pleasure to coach this fantastic group with many having several more years to go further in this competition.
The boys led by Micheal who stepped in for the day, had wins against Guyra and Quirindi then gave McIntyre a run for their money but lost. This put them in the Semi-finals against Oxley. The game was amazing to watch, full of energy and some great volleyball. Sadly the boys were knocked out by a team of more senior players and greater experience, but to the boys credit there was even comments of their skills by the co-ordinaries of the day. These boys were all Year 10 Students and have several years of great volleyball ahead of them.
Country Cup
A successful day out for our 13 Years Country Cup on Friday 7 June and our 15 Years league side.
Braving the chilly winter weather in Armidale both teams were successful, convincingly winning and progressing in the Country Cup competition.
Thanks to coaches Scott Miller and Ali Crossley.
Unfortunately our Open Boys Team did not get a game due to a forfeit from ASC. However they too will progress to the next round of games.
