NAIDOC Week 10
Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2024: Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud
National NAIDOC Week, an annual celebration honouring the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, is fast approaching. From the 1st to the 5th of July this year, Glen Innes High will proudly participate in this nationwide event, joining communities across Australia in recognizing the oldest continuous cultures on earth.
The Spirit of NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week is not just a series of events; it's a testament to resilience and pride. This year, under the theme "Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud," we celebrate the unyielding spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It's a call to stand in solidarity, amplifying voices that have often been overlooked or silenced. Together, we can forge a future where these voices, stories, traditions, and achievements are not only respected but celebrated as fundamental threads in the fabric of our nation.
