Coona Expo

North West Equestrian Expo commonly known as Coona Expo is held the first weekend of June each year. Competition is held in various equine disciplines and this event caters for a wide range of abilities allowing all participants to compete in most events, with participants attending from all over the state.

After an invitation for Chloe to play polox with friends from Braidwood High School, the Klingner Family made their way out to a very wet and muddy Coonabarabran. Jazzy teamed up with 2 sisters from Loretto.  After some hard-fought pool games on Saturday Night both of the teams made the Division 1 A grade playoffs on Sunday night.  Unfortunately, neither team made the grand final but still a great experience.

With Jazz having to shoot off for touch football commitments, Chloe stayed on to compete in more events on the Monday.

A great experience for the whole family and we would highly recommend a trip to Coona Expo for all our other “horse families”.  We are definitely keen to return again next year.

Thanks goes to the school for continuing to allow us to attend school horse sport events, particularly Mrs Kiehne for her continued support.

Thank you to the Klingner Family for the article.
