Principal Report

Welcome to another exciting edition to our Newsletter, I hope this Newsletter finds you all well.

With only 2 weeks left of the Term, is has been great to see so many of our students representing our school. We have a number of our students who are assisting at the Smalls School Athletics Carnival. We have so many sporting events continuing, the school has 18 students who have been successful in making it to the State Cross Country, congratulations to those students.

We are in the process of working on our Behaviour Management Plan, making sure that it clear and easy for staff, students and our school community to follow. Please keep an eye out for the update module.

With all the cold weather and illnesses going around at this time of year, I would like to remind families to please ensure you are notifying the school that you student is absent. DoE Attendance policy states that parents are required to notify the school within 7 days of the first day of absence, any notification received after the 7 days will be placed into the students file as we are unable to update our school systems after 7 days. Parents and Carer are able to notify the school of absences via, phoning the office, emailing the school, replying to the schools attendance sms, logging into the parent portal or sending a hand written note to school. Also with exams and assessment it is important if your child is missing an exam or an assessment due to being unwell that you collect an Appendix A form from the Front Office and attach a medical certificate with it. We understand due to the current medical climate that it has become quite difficult to obtain a medical appointment, we wish to remind families that you are able to make online and phone appointment with medical professionals to obtain a medical certificate. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this can you please contact the school for assistance.

This is a friendly reminder that black clothing items, such as black pants, shorts, hoodies, and tights, are not part of our school uniform. We kindly ask that students adhere to the uniform guidelines to maintain the schools dress code.  Due to integrated sport being introduced blue of grey  shorts are allowed to be worn. A reminder that if tracksuit pants are being worn they should only be worn on the students designated sport days.

Additionally, we extend our huge thanks to all community members and parents who have generously donated uniform items that are no longer needed or have been outgrown. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and help support other students in our school community.
