Hi Saltwater Community,
On Monday, we had the privilege of hosting a special assembly, with a visit from NRL Victoria. Tere and Ali delivered an inspiring session to our students titled, 'Simply the Best.'
During their visit, the representatives from NRL Victoria engaged the students with a powerful message: success is achieved through always striving to do your best. They emphasised that no matter what the task or challenge, putting in your best effort is the key to reaching your goals and achieving greatness.
The session was not only motivational but also interactive. Students participated in various activities that reinforced the importance of dedication, perseverance, and a positive attitude. These are values we strive to instill in our students every day, and it was wonderful to see them reinforced by such esteemed visitors.
We believe that this message is crucial for our students, and it aligns perfectly with our school’s mission to nurture and develop each child’s potential.
We are confident that the lessons learned from this visit will have a lasting impact on our students, encouraging them to always aim high and do their best in all their endeavours.
We are pleased to awards the Junior School Council for Timetable B with their certificate and badge. The Junior School Council plays a vital role in our school community, providing students with a platform to voice their opinions, contribute to decision-making processes, and help organise school events and initiatives. Through their involvement, council members develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility, making a positive impact on our school environment.
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Wellbeing Leaders across Years 5, 6, and 7 at Saltwater College. These dedicated student advocates will play a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere within our school community. They will engage with peers during recess and lunch, offer peer mediation, and support activities in the Wellbeing Hub to promote positive peer relationships and inclusion.
We are incredibly proud of the students who have stepped up to take on this leadership role, and we look forward to seeing their impact on our school. Further training and detailed information about their responsibilities will be provided in the last week of Term 2. Congratulations to all our Wellbeing Leaders!
Thank you for your continued support in making our school a place where inspiring opportunities like these can happen. We look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you soon!
