Grade 6 Report

Adapting to Survive

All the Grade 6 students have been working very hard on our Speaking and Listening and Science presentations on ‘Adapting to Survive’. 

We had to put our David Attenborough hats on and create a new organism that might be discovered in the future. We were given a habitat such as arboreal, savanna, dessert, space, lava, forest, deep waters, mud floods, host body and more….

Once we were given a habitat, we then had to create a new animal and decide on its physiological adaptations, physical adaptations, behavioural adaptations, life cycle, diet and incorporate the type of environment it lives in. 

Some of the animals that we ‘discovered’ were the Luna Spider, The Spotted Hyraff, The Monkeyleon Frog, Magmatigris, Acacia, Mantaini and Squipper.
