Competitions This Week

A reminder to participating families that we are holding ICAS English for registered students in Years 2 to 6, and the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee for invited students in Years 3 to 6 on Wednesday this week. The families of participating students should: 

• Talk to their child about why they are registered for these competitions. This will help your child feel more prepared and informed
• Ensure their child is at school by 9:00am and heads to their classrooms as usual
• Check their child has fully charged their device before coming to school

Both competitions will take place during the school day. As the staff members running these competitions are not at school on Thursdays and Fridays, unfortunately any students who are absent won't be able to complete catch up tests within the testing week window.

Every child participating in ICAS will receive an individual report with their results. Families are also able to access these online. Details will be provided when they are available (usually a few weeks after the test). Students who are progressing through to the Victorian finals of the Spelling Bee will be verbally informed, along with their parents.
