Secondary Riverina Athletics Carnival 2026

The Secondary Riverina Athletics Carnival is being held today in Albury.

Good luck to Laylah, Megan, Jakob, Alleah, Ryan, Callum, Damon and Nevaeh!

RAP Football: Stephanie Scott Memorial Shield - Bill Turner Cup and Bill Turner Trophy

On Wednesday 13th May 2026, RAP schools attended the Stephanie Scott Memorial Shield in Leeton. The girls team competed in the Bill Turner Trophy and the boys competed in the Bill Turner Cup.

Jessica Sloan from Ardlethan coached the boys team and Thomas Huggett from Hillston coached the girls team.

Boys RAP team Match Report:

The boys team consisted of:

• Ardlethan – Eli Gibbs-Strickland, Jaxon Kay, Charlie Bellamy
• Ariah Park – Charlie Earl
• Barellan – Riley Menzies, Samual Sheehan, Blake Brody
• Hillston – Hunter Barrett, Memphis Williams
• Lockhart – Jai Coles, Will Crisp

Games/Results:

Game 1 vs Leeton High School = Loss

• All boys worked well as a team
• Eli worked hard at Goalkeeper
• Hunter had shots at goal and was so close to scoring

Game 2 vs Yanco = Loss 1-3

• The boys improved throughout the day and played a fantastic game against Yanco
• Hunter did an outstanding job at Goalkeeper
• Will had a shot at goal
• Jai scored a goal – the team and our new found fans were ecstatic!

Our best players as voted by the opposition coaches were:

• Game 1 = Eli Gibbs
• Game 2 = Hunter Barrett

The team voted on the MVP for the day:

• Jai Coles was awarded MVP
• Eli, Will, Memphis and Hunter also received votes from their teammates
