Performing Arts 

Jells Park Primary School students have hit the ground running in Performing Arts this year! 

Students from all year levels have been busy learning about rhythm and beat. We have been using different activities to make 4 beats in a bar and have been practicing clapping and saying the rhythms together and by ourselves! 

This week we have begun learning our instrument for the semester. 

Foundation, Level 1 & 2’s are learning to play rhythms on percussion. Level 3’s have begun learning riffs and songs on the xylophones. Level 4’s have been busy learning different songs on the keyboards. Level 5 & 6 have been learning different chords, songs and strumming patterns on the ukuleles.

We have also welcomed back our whole school choir. All level 1 - 6 students are welcome to join the choir on Fridays at lunchtime in the Performing Arts room. 

We look forward to welcoming Foundation students to join in Term 2.
