Monash Heights Swimming Competition

Last Thursday, Jells Park competed in the first Monash Heights District Swimming competition at Monash Pools. 2024 is the first year that we have restructured our District schools and we are now competing against some larger schools at our events.

A selected group of students from Levels 4, 5 and 6 competed in individual 50 m events and relay teams. It was a terrific day with everyone giving it their best effort. 

There were some very strong swimmers from the other schools in our District, however we managed to have 11 individual swimmers finish in the top 4 of their races and have progressed through to the Division event. We also had 6 of our 8 relay teams progressing to the Division Competition. 

With some much stronger competition in our District, we were very pleased to come away with 3rd place behind Wheelers Hill PS and Essex Heights PS.  

Congratulation to the students who have progressed through to the Division Competition which will be held on Friday 1 March.
