Our new school year for 2024 has started beautifully. We have warmly welcomed our new students, getting to know them is a joy.

Our library is full of people, activities, learning, friendship and care.

Our Year 7 cohort are experiencing their Library Orientation where we introduce the students to all things “Library”. During their class we continually emphasize our mantra of  “JUST KEEP READING”.

The Year 7’s, along with our Year 8’s, have taken this to heart with some of our shelves looking quite bereft of books.  We love the fact that our collection is being used so well.

A new year means the beginning of a new budget and our collection will continue to evolve and expand.  We encourage our students to tell us what they would like to read so as we may purchase current, relevant and popular materials.

Wednesday of this week was a hectic one.  Our opening school Mass, which coincided with our Ash Wednesday observation, and Library Lovers Day.

Lunchtime in the Library is busy and full of students which make us happy.  This year we have designated the upstairs mezzanine area as a space for silent reading and silent study.  For our students who need some peace in a quiet space this is working well.

Please enjoy some pictures of our Students on Library Lovers Day.

Much to our delight we also have some knitting instruction taking place as Lunchtimes with two of our wonderful “regulars”, Heidi Burger, Yr. 8 and Rebecca Stallard, also Yr. 8.
