Teaching and Learning

This term students in Year 3 and Year 5 will be participating in NAPLAN. NAPLAN is a national testing scheme that is designed to provide information to the school, the state and the whole nation on students’ progress and growth. 

While NAPLAN is highly valuable, it provides a snapshot of a child’s ability on a single day and it does not assess the broad and unique strengths that all of our students have.

Students in Year 3 and Year 5 will be sitting NAPLAN this year on the following days: 

Wednesday the 13th of March 

Thursday the 14th of March 

Friday the 15th of March 

Students will require headphones for the NAPLAN testing. Please ensure your child has a pair of headphones at school to support them with the NAPLAN testing

If your child is away on any of the above days, there will be catch up sessions the following week from Monday the 18th of March to Friday the 22nd of March. 

A pamphlet from the NAPLAN authority is attached with further information for parents. A hard copy will be provided to parents in the next coming weeks.
