From the Principal's Desk

It's hard to believe we're already in the fourth week of the school year! Time flies when there's so much happening at All Saints'. I'm delighted to report that our classrooms are buzzing with wonderful teaching and learning activities, setting a strong foundation for the academic year ahead.

Beyond academics, our students have been actively participating in various extracurricular activities, enriching their spiritual and sporting lives. Last Thursday, our swimmers represented us at the Deanery Carnival in Wagga Wagga. I'm thrilled to announce that Gabby, Maddie, Charlotte, and Fletcher have qualified to compete at the Wagga Diocesan Carnival on the 6th of March. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding achievements!

We recently celebrated Shrove Tuesday with great enthusiasm. I extend my gratitude to Emma McGrath, Mrs Barclay, Miss O'Sullivan, and our senior students for organising and serving during the event. It was a delightful way to indulge before the solemn season of Lent began. Speaking of which, Ash Wednesday was observed with a mass presided over by Father Brancik. Lent is a significant period in Catholic tradition, emphasising prayer, fasting, and reflection. In class, our students are exploring the deeper meaning of Lent and its relevance in our lives.

In other news, we're excited about the installation of a new inverter and battery system in the COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area), funded through a bushfire recovery grant. This addition not only enhances our infrastructure but also contributes to our sustainability efforts.

Furthermore, we're grateful to have received funding from Kids Xpress, which has enabled us to enrich our library collection and enhance our sensory garden with outdoor equipment. The sensory garden project is progressing well, thanks to this support.

Looking ahead, our senior students are eagerly anticipating the annual leadership camp at Laurel Hill on the 21st and 22nd of March. This camp is always a highlight, fostering leadership skills and team spirit among our senior cohort.

Lastly, I'd like to let you know that NAPLAN testing will commence on March 13th.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.
