PSSA Mid South Swimming Carnival (District)

On Wednesday 21 February, 29 students from OFPS accompanied by Miss Ford and Ms Young went to Oak Flats Swimming Pool for the PSSA Mid South Swimming Carnival (District). All students gave 100% in their individual and team events and we were blown away by the sportsmanship, respect and skills all students from OFPS displayed. 

An outstanding effort by all Oak Flats competitors. Miss Ford was cheering loudly from the recorders desk while Ms Young was cheering loudly from the sidelines. Overall, on points, OFPS came 3rd with 125 points. Special shout out to Adelle G who is the 12 Year old Girls Age Champion. The following students will be attending the PSSA South Coast Swimming Championship at Dapto Pool on Tuesday 12 March, we wish them the very best:

Sport

Sport is off and running in Term 1. We have had our Sport Captains and Vice Captains elected and will be presented with their badges as well as them stating the pledge at the Week 6 Primary Assembly. They have already been busy refereeing sport activities at lunch time on the Senior Field. 

Students have been busy attending a range of PSSA sporting trials. With many making the Mid South team and also being selected for the Southern Illawarra Zone. The following students will trial for South Coast teams in their sports and we wish them all the best:

PSSA South Coast Basketball Girls - Friday 8 March - Betsy H, Polly H and Safiah T at Goulburn

PSSA South Coast Swimming Championships - Thursday 21 March - Adelle G, Sophie S, Joshua O, Ella O, Betsy H, Hazel B, Andy S, Brodie T, Zane S, Georgia B, and Archer M - at Dapto Pool
