ABORIGINAL EDUCATION TEAM

Tutoring.

All our year 11 and 12 students have been working hard with their tutors this term. So if you have any questions or would like your child to be involved please contact Alicia or Skye in the AB-ED staffroom. 

 

 

North West Girls.

Alexis Lockwood, Brooke Moran and Nahri Slater-Saunders were selected into the North West Touch team they travelled to Mudgee to compete in the CHS girls U/15 touch carnival all girls did amazing, Congratulations girls!

 

 

Touch Footy Gala Day.

Earlier in the term we took a team for both the 7/8 boys and the 7/8 girls for a Touch gala day. Both teams did an amazing job with the boys winning the championship and the girls came away as runner up after putting an amazing effort. 

 

Last week we also took the girls open team for CHS touch where they put in an amazing effort but unfortunately lost their last game by 1 point. The boys open touch is also happening later in the week, so we will keep you posted with results.

 

 

Oorala Community Shirt.

Congratulations to year 7 student Lyric Griffiths who last year was selected as the winner of the Oorala shirt design competition. Lyric’s shirt is now available to buy at The Shop at UNE. 

 

 

 

 

 

In classes.

 

There has been some amazing work happening in our classes this term!

In science our year 8 students have been working at building models of plant and animal cells. While our year 10 students have been working hard in English learning about different perspectives and how it relates to storytelling. While our year 7 students have been learning about all the different emotions we can have and how they can shape us in PDHPE.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maths Study Group.

On Tuesday at lunch time we are having a Math study session each week. So if you would like some help in Maths or want to work on an assessment please come along and we can help you out.
